The Yellowjacket men's track and field team was in action Friday when they traveled to Bemidji, Minn. to take part in the BSU Twilight meet. This is the final meet for the Yellowjackets prior to the UMAC championships.

Alex Dzikonski (South Range, Wis./Superior) had what may have been his strongest meet of the year Friday. Dzikonski took third overall in the 200-meter dash, coming in with a time of 23.55. The time placked Dzikonski as the top DIII runner in the event. Dzikonski followed that up with a second place finish in the 400-meter dash, coming in with a time of 52.95. Once again, the only runner to best him came from a DII school. Dzikonski capped off his day with a fourth place finish in the long jump. He finished with a top jump of 19 feet, 1.5 inches (5.83 meters).

Joe Olinger (Lindstrom, Minn./Chisago Lakes) had a strong day of his own at the meet. Olinger took home fifth in the pole vault, with a top height of 10 feet, 4.25 inches. He then took home fifth in the long jump, coming in with a top jump of 17 feet, 4 inches (5.28 meters)

Thomas Udenberg (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet) continues to impress in the shot put. Udenberg took home first overall by a large margin. Udenberg's top throw of 52 feet, 2 inches (15.90 meters) bested the second place finisher by 3 feet, 10.75 inches (1.19 meters).

Tony Willete came in fourth in the shot put, finishing with a top throw of 46 feet, 7.25 inches (14.20 meters). Teammate C.J. Pillath (Coleman, Wis./Coleman) came in fifth in the shot put with a top throw of 45 feet, 3.5 inches (13.80 meters). Pillath also flexed his muscle on the weight throw, where he finished third with a top throw of 53 feet, 7.75 inches (16.35 meters). Teammates Thomas Fleming (Big Lake, Minn./Big Lake) and Willette finished fourth and fifth in the weight throw, with Fleming coming in with top throw of 52 feet, 6.75 inches (16.02 meters) while Willette had a top throw of 49 feet, 6.5 inches (15.10 meters).

Henry Haberman took fifth in the triple jump, with a top jump of 35 feet, 6.5 inches (10.83 meters), while Noah Potratz (Ripon, Wis./Ripon) took fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.54.
