UMAC Player of the Week Awards - Jan. 23, 2017

Yellowjacket sophomore C.J. Pillath (Coleman, Wis./Coleman H.S.) continues to shine in the field for the University of Wisconsin Superior and on Monday earned his third consecutive selection as the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference's Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

Pillath had a strong day at the Twin Ports Invitational at Thering Fieldhouse on Saturday, taking fourth place in the shot put with a mark of 13.49 meters. Earlier in the day, he produced a monster toss in the weight throw, winning the event with an impressive mark of 17.78 meters, putting him fifth in all of NCAA Division III.

UW-Superior will compete at the Warren Bowlus Invite hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Stout next Saturday. The event is set to begin at 12:00 p.m.
