The University of Wisconsin Superior continues to hold tightly to the title of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week as, for the second time in three weeks, senior Thomas Udenberg (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet H.S.) claimed the honor on Monday. Sophomore teammate C.J. Pillath (Coleman, Wis./Coleman H.S.) has earned the other four of the six honors thus far in the 2016-17 indoor track & field season as the Yellowjackets have yet to concede the award.

Udenberg was among the UW-Superior athletes to compete twice last week. Against stiff competition at the Showcase meet hosted by the University of St. Thomas on Friday evening, Udenberg placed sixth in the shot put with a mark of 14.97 meters. At Saturday's Yellowjacket Open in Superior, Udenberg won the event with a mark of 16.14 meters: a number that puts him atop the UMAC chart and ranks him 18th in NCAA Division III. Udenberg also placed tenth in the weight throw Saturday.
