C.J. Pillath (Coleman, Wis./Coleman H.S.) continues his dominance during the indoor season, claiming his fifth Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week selection on Monday. The University of Wisconsin Superior has won all seven such awards in 2016-17, with Pillath sharing a pair with senior teammate
Thomas Udenberg (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet H.S.).
Pillath stood atop the podium at Friday night's Beaver Twilight hosted by NCAA Division II Bemidji State University, claiming victory in the weight throw with a toss of 16.43 meters. He also finished second in the shot put, behind only Udenberg, as the Yellowjackets swept the podium in each throwing event. Pillath's toss went 14.47 meters on Friday evening. Entering this week's UMAC Indoor Championships meet, Pillath sits first in the conference for weight throw and second for shot put.

UW-Superior will compete at next weekend's UMAC Indoor Championships hosted by the College of St. Scholastica beginning Friday, Feb. 24 at 4:00 p.m. in Duluth, Minnesota.
