UMAC Player of the Week Awards - 4/10/2017

Sophomore Alex Dzikonski (South Range, Wis./Superior H.S.) represents the University of Wisconsin Superior and three relay teams as the Yellowjacket was named the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week on Monday.

Dzikonski was part of three UW-Superior sprint relay teams in the 4-by-100-meter, 4-by-200-meter, and 4-by-400-meter races, all of which placed second at last weekend's Norse Relays at Luther College. All three men's sprint relays currently lead the UMAC. Additionally, Dzikonski placed fourth in the long jump and leads the UMAC rankings there as well.

While the UW-Superior women compete at Wednesday's Hamline Women's Invitational, both Yellowjacket teams will reconvene Saturday at the Lee Krough Invitational hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. The events are set to begin at 10 a.m.
