The University of Wisconsin Superior continues to dominate the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference men's track & field Player of the Week awards even after the transition outdoors as the Yellowjackets swept the opening-week honors released Monday with junior
Jordan Koski (Park Falls, Wis./Chequamegon H.S.) named Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week and junior
Noah Potratz (Ripon, Wis./Ripon H.S.) the Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
At Saturday's Hamline University Invitational, Koski placed fifth and was third among NCAA Division III runners in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:51.76. The mark was a personal-best for Koski and ranks him atop the UMAC leaderboard as well as top-50 in the nation. Potratz had impressed in the javelin throw, breaking his own UW-Superior program record and defeating all NCAA Division II and Division III competitors in the process with a mark of 54.44 meters.
