Morgan MacLean


Morgan MacLean begins his third season as the head women's soccer coach at UW-Superior in 2016.

MacLean had been an assistant coach with both the men's and women's soccer teams at the College of St. Scholastica since 2005. In that time MacLean was involved in all aspects of Saints soccer, from travel arrangements and budgeting to running practices and recruiting. MacLean was the head coach of the goalkeepers for the Saints and also headed the junior varsity team for both programs.

Beginning in 2000 MacLean began coaching the East Select Soccer Club, a position he held until 2003. During that time he was also the ninth grade coach at Duluth East High School. In 2003 he joined the coaching staff at the Marshall School in Duluth. From there MacLean moved to the Gitchi Gummi Soccer Club, where he coached both boys and girls in various age groups. MacLean coached Gitchi Gummi from 2004 until 2006, and then rejoined the staff in 2008 and still works with them today.

A native of Duluth, MacLean earned his bachelor's degree from Argosy University.

MacLean and his wife reside in Duluth.
