Yellowjackets struggle for offense against Oles

The Yellowjackets never seemed to find any offensive rhythm throughout the course of the game en route to a 4-0 loss to St. Olaf College.
 
St. Olaf dominated the Yellowjackets from beginning to finish as they outshot them 18-6.  The Oles notched two goals in each half with the first one coming in the 21st minute when David Rosenthal found Mackenzie Lund all alone on the left side of the box. Lund did the rest of the work when he fired a shot to the top right corner to give the Oles a 1-0 lead.  The feed from Rosenthal fueled him that much more about ten minutes later when he put a shot over Yellowjacket goalkeeper Matt Elder (New Hope, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) on a free kick to make the score 2-0. 
 
Rosenthal notched his 9th goal of the season and second of the game on a penalty kick to make the score 3-0 in the 53rd minute.  The Oles closed out the game's scoring two minutes later when Nick Lund took a free kick that found the head of Stephen Johnson.  Johnson finished the header to extend the Ole lead to 4-0. 
 
Elder and Connor Iverson (Ramsey, Minn./Anoka) combined for 8 saves for the Yellowjackets while Ole goalkeeper Harry Ullmann notched two saves.
 
The Yellowjackets (8-6-1, 1-1-1 WIAC) will hit the road once again on Wednesday (Oct. 17th) to face Hamline University.  Game time is at 4:00 p.m.
