The Yellowjackets close out their season in style as they cruised past the Lions from Finlandia University 11-0.
 
The game was lopsided to say the least as the Yellowjackets outshot the Lions 43-1 for the contest.  The Yellowjackets took a 4-0 lead into halfime when Trevor Laroche-Theune (LaPointe, Wis./Bayfield ), Ben Royce (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley), John Levenick (Champlin, Minn./Champlin), and Chase Carey (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) each notched a goal.  The Lions were as thin as you can get depth wise as they had no players on their bench.  Things continued to be even more lopsided in the second half as the Yellowjackets lit the Lions up for seven goals.  Three of those goals came from Royce.  Richard Chegwin-Goelkel (Barranquilla, Colombia/German School) and Bryan McBride (Coon Rapids, Minn./Coon Rapids) notched a goal each in their final game in a Yellowjacket uniform.  The other two goals came from Dan Baga (Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) and Tadd Speaks (Sartell, Minn./Sartell).
 
Connor Iverson (Ramsey, Minn./Anoka) didn't need to make a save while Lions goalkeeper had to make 14 saves.
 
The Yellowjackets more than likely wrap up the 2012 season with a 12-6-2 record.
