The Yellowjackets come up with their first shutout of the season with a 3-0 route over Bethel University.
 
In what seemed to be an all-around physical game that saw a total of three yellow cards for the Yellowjackets, the men in the black and yellow still kept their composure.  The Yellowjackets went up 1-0 in the 20th minute when Ryan Linsmayer (Dresser, Wis./Osceola) took a pass from Chase Carey (Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove) and fired a shot home.  The goal was Linsmayer's first as a Yellowjacket. 
 
The Yellowjackets came out of the gates in the second half when Alberto Rivero (Santander, Spain/) gave them a 2-0 lead about five minutes into the second half.  Another Yellowjacket went on to score their first career goal, this time it was Gabriel Storck da Silva (Curtiba, Brazil/Positivo) when he put away an unassisted goal in the 75th minute to make the score 3-0.
 
Yellowjacket goalkeeper Matt Elder (New Hope, Minn./Robbinsdale Armstrong) finished the contest with four saves while Chris Scott had six saves for the Royals.
 
The Yellowjackets (2-2, 0-0 WIAC) will return home on Sunday (Sept. 9th) when they will face St. Johns University (MN) at Public Schools Stadium in Duluth, Minn. Game time is at 5:00 p.m.
