The University of WIsconsin Superior scored first but could not hang on as the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire picked up a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series victory over the Yellowjackets with a 4-1 win at Wessman Arena on Saturday afternoon.
The Blugolds knocked off UW-Superior (7-11-0, 1-5-0 WIAC) by an identical score in Superior on Saturday as they had the previous night on their home ice. UWS held the lead through the first intermission, but Abby Roeser tied the game for the Blugolds at 8:23 of the second period. The Yellowjackets will have another home-and-home series in WIAC play next week as they take on the No. 2 University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
