Megan Aho (Floodwood, Minn./Floodwood H.S.) scored each of her 14 points in the second half as the University of Wisconsin Superior's rally came up just short, with the Yellowjackets falling 62-56 in exhibition action against NCAA Division II the University of Minnesota Duluth on Tuesday morning in Duluth.
Junior guard
Hailey Kontny (Superior, Wis./Superior H.S.) added 10 of her 13 points after halftime as UW-Superior (9-4) out-scored UMD (8-4) 24-14 in the fourth quarter and 38-30 in the second half. Junior forward
Bailee Bartunek (Audobon, Minn./Lake Park-Audobon H.S.) grabbed 10 rebounds and fell one basket shy of yet another double-double with eight points in the game. Three players topped double digits scoring for the Bulldogs, led by senior forward Taylor Meyer's game-high 17 points and 13 boards. Sophomore Sammy Kozlowski had 12 points and eight assists for UMD, finishing 6-for-6 from the free throw line as the Bulldogs knocked down 13-of-16 free throws in the second half.
UMD shot 40.0 percent percent for the game (20-of-50) including 4-of-13 from three-point range. The Yellowjackets would finished 22-of-63 for the game (34.9 percent) but went 15-of-32 in the second half (46.9 percent). UW-Superior scored 22 points off its bench compared to just seven for the Bulldogs.

The Yellowjackets will remain in the Twin Ports this weekend as they re-open Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play (5-0 UMAC). UW-Superior will take on the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth on Saturday. Opening tip is set for 3:00 p.m. preceding the men's game.
