Saint John's University scored a power-play goal with just 4:23 left to edge out the University of Wisconsin Superior 1-0 in non-conference action in St. Cloud, Minnesota on Saturday night.
The Yellowjackets had a powerplay chance and pulled their goalie for a 6-on-4 chance in the final 15 seconds could not get the comeback score. UW-Superior (4-11-1) fell for the second straight night against a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe, while Saint John's (8-5-2) escaped with the one-goal advantage.

Kyle Miller (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake) continued his strong play between the pipes for the last three Yellowjacket outings, making 32 stops but drawing the tough-luck loss. Tyler Nelson made 31 saves for a Johnnies' victory while Kevin Becker scored the lone goal of the game for Saint John's at 15:37 of the third period, getting assists from Huba Sekeski and Sean Lang. The Yellowjackets will return to Wessman Arena next weekend for three-straight games in Superior. UW-Superior will open its homestand hosting Gustavus Adolphus College on Friday, January 13. The puck will drop at 7:05 p.m.
