UW-Superior 3 , Finlandia 2
SUPERIOR, Wis. (November 18, 2017) – The Yellowjackets secured their second victory of the season, beating the Finlandia Lions in Wessman Arena.

The Lions would get on the board at 8:38 as Micahel Chiunard found twine, assisted by Blake Peavey. The Yellowjackets wanted that two-goal lead back, so, Ecklund scored his second of the game, this time getting assists from Daniel Litchke (Superior, Wis./Superior) and Andrew Durham (Plano, Texas/Plano East). Superior would own a 3-1 lead into the second period.
Superior would get an early power-play chance at the 18:02 mark of the third period, but couldn't find net. The Lions would score their second of the game around 13 minutes in, leveling the Yellowjacket lead to one. The game would get heated towards the end, each team throwing hits and getting into the shuffle, but Superior would come out victorious.
The 'Jackets had 38 shots in the contest, 14 more than the Lions. They also won the faceoff matchup 35-28. This was the Yellowjackets sixth-straight victory vs Finlandia.
