SUPERIOR, Wis. – The UW-Superior men's soccer team clinched at least a share of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference regular-season title with a 4-0 win over Minnesota Morris at NBC Spartan Sports Complex Saturday.
UWS (11-3-2, 7-0-0) is now six points clear of second-place St. Scholastica and can sew up the league title with either a victory Tuesday over Northwestern or a Saints' loss at Northland Wednesday.
The Yellowjackets used three second-half goals to gain separation from the Cougars. Sophomore
Blake Perry (Anoka, Minn./Anoka) scored in the 51st and 76th minutes, sandwiched by a
Miguel Ocampo (St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park) goal in the 52nd.
Junior

Dalton VonKaenel (Eagan, Minn./Eagan) made his return to the UWS net after a four-match absence due to injury. He made one save in 86 minutes before giving way to
Ulrik Lager (Vollen, Norway/Asker VGS), himself returning from injury. Lager also stopped one shot in final four minutes.
The 'Jackets outshot Morris, 31-3, overall and 13-2 in shots on target. Superior did not allow the Cougars a shot attempt in the first half, while taking 19 itself.
