SUPERIOR, Wis. – Three Minnesota Morris players finished with double-digit kills led by Tori Everson with 20 as the Cougars spoiled the UW-Superior volleyball team's Senior Day festivities at Mertz Mortorelli Gym Saturday in a 3-1 win.

After Morris claimed the first set, UWS bounced back to take the second. Tied, 14-14, the 'Jackets scored four consecutive points for an 18-14 edge on two Sletta kills and two attack errors. Minnesota Morris responded with four straight points of its own for an 18-18 tie.
Superior ran off six of the final seven points in the set for the win on the strength of two Goggleye aces and three Morris errors.
The Cougars held an 18-12 lead in the third set before a Goggleye kill from Baertsch cut the lead to 21-17. That was as close as UWS got in the set as Miller put it away with a kill from Layne Herrmann.
Morris used a 6-0 run the middle of the fourth to provide separation. Up, 9-7, the Cougars got kills from Miller and Everson sandwiched around errors to build a 14-7 advantage and didn't look back, taking the set and match.
