NORMAN, Okla. – UW-Superior men's golf senior Olle Sedelius (Gothenburg, Sweden/Hvitfeldtska Gymnasiet) has been named a Division III Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Tuesday.
 
To be eligible for consideration, an individual must be a junior or senior academically and compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke average under 79. and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at school.
 
Sedelius is one of 61 student-athletes to earn the distinction.
 
Entering play at this week's NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships, Sedelius has played 19 of the Yellowjackets' 21 competitive rounds this season. He is third on the team with a 77.95 scoring average. Sedelius won the Northland College Invite on Sept. 12, shooting an even-par 72, topping the field by seven strokes.
 
The 'Jackets tee off in the second round of the NCAA championships at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky., at 7:30 a.m., Wednesday.
