MINNEAPOLIS – The UW-Superior softball team roared back with 10 runs in its final three at-bats, beating Augsburg, 10-6, to split a doubleheader Friday at Edor Nelson Field.

Superior (3-5) dropped a 3-2 decision in the first game of the day.Â

Trailing, 5-0, the Yellowjackets plated two runs in the fourth inning of game two, three in the fifth and five in the sixth for the win. Kaela Kramer's two-out single up the middle scored
Amber Yoch (North Branch, Minn./North Branch Area) to tie the game at 5-5 in the fifth, punctuating a frame that began with
Tiffany Kirk (McHenry, Ill./McHenry East) reaching on an error, followed by an
Amanda Kishish (St. Francis, Minn./St. Francis) run-scoring triple to left field.

Augsburg responded with a run in the top of the sixth to regain the lead prior Superior putting the game away in the bottom of the inning. After
Davriana Horvath (Esko, Minn./Esko) flew out to left to start the inning, the next seven batters reached. Bailey Kinnuenen's bases-loaded single to center scored Kirk and pinch runner
Emily Carpenter (St. Peter, Minn./St. Peter) for a 7-6 advantage.Â

Two batters later, Kishish scored as Yoch reached on an error at shortstop.
Kaela Kraemer (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) then singled up the middle, scoring
Olivia Bancroft-Hart (Cambria, Wis./Cambria-Friesland) and Kinnunen.

Tayler Kraemer (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) earned her first collegiate win the circle, pitching the first six innings, scattering 12 hits and six earned runs with five walks and three strikeouts.
Ashley Taipale (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld) threw a clean seventh, fanning one, to nail down the win.

Kaela Kraemer (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) went 3-for-4 with a double, walk and three RBIs from the top of the lineup to ignite the offense. Yoch was also 3-for-4 with an RBI and run scored.

Brianna McGrath (Two Harbors, Minn./Two Harbors) pinch ran for Horvath, who led off the top of the seventh of game one with a single up the middle, coming around on three consecutive wild pitches to make it a 3-2 game. Kirk followed with a one-out single, but Augsburg pitcher Sabriya Passmore retired Kinnunen and Barcroft-Hart in succession for the win.

The Auggies scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning for a 3-1 lead.
Kaela Kraemer (Spring Green, Wis./Wisconsin Heights) knocked in Barcroft-Hart, who doubled, with a two-out single center to tie the game, 1-1, in the fourth.

Horvath went 3-for-3 to pace the 'Jackets' nine-hit attack in the opener.
Amanda Kishish (St. Francis, Minn./St. Francis) fell to 2-2 overall with a complete-game six-hitter in the circle.
