ST. PAUL, Minn. – The UW-Superior men's soccer team scored goals nine minutes apart late in the second half to come away with a 2-0 victory over Northwestern in UMAC play at Reynolds Field on Thursday.

Blake Hanson (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) got the game-winning goal in the 75th minute off of an assist from
Pontus Tavemark (Taeby, Sweden/Taeby Enskilden Gymnasium) and
Blake Perry (Anoka, Minn./Anoka) scored his ninth of the season – tying for the league lead – in the 84th.

Ulrik made two saves in each half, picking up his fourth clean sheet of the season, helping the Yellowjackets remaining perfect at 7-0-0 overall and 6-0-0 in the UMAC.

The Yellowjackets outshot Northwestern, 10-5, for the match with Eagles' goalkeeper Austin Gunkel making five stops. UNW was also credited with a team save in the 13th minute on a Hanson shot.

Superior registered nine corner kicks Northwestern's one on the day.

The Eagles fell to 5-11-0 overall and 1-5-0 in the UMAC with the loss.

UWS next heads to Minneapolis Saturday to take Augsburg at 1 p.m., at Edor Nelson Field.
