ASHLAND, Wis. -- Four different skaters scored goals as the UW-Superior women's hockey team completed a regular-season-series sweep of Northland with a 4-1 victory at the Bay Area Civic Center on Saturday.

The Yellowjackets (11-14-0, 4-8-0 WIAC) and LumberJills (2-22-1, 0-12-0) will meet in the first round of Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament Tuesday at 7 p.m., at Wessman Arena.

UWS scored two times in the first period, once in the second and once in the third for the victory.Â

Jada LeBlanc's (Thunder Bay, Ontario/Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute) first-period power-play goal at the 16:15 from Gabby Andreacchi and
C.C. Hayes (Fort Frances, Ontario/Fort Frances) proved to be the game winner after Northland's Mahteya Dumelie got the LumberJills on the board at 17:06 of the third. Hayes added a power-play goal with three seconds remaining -- her third tally of the weekend -- for the final margin.

LeBlanc's goal made it 2-0 UWS after
Jenna Hoops (Woodbury, Minn./Visitation School) hooked up with
Emma Booth (Brainerd, Minn./Brainerd) to open the scoring at 3:55 of the first period.

Brynn MacLean (Wilcox, Saskatchewan/Athol Murray College of Notre Dame) pushed the lead to 3-0 from
Ashton Parnell (Cambridge, Minn./Cambridge-Isanti) at 14:20 of the second period.

Rose Beeman (Minneapolis, Minn./Benilde-St. Margaret's School) stopped 25 shots for the victory in the UWS net, while Teagan Johnson turned aside 34 in a losing effort.

The Yellowjackets, who outshot Northland, 38-26, went 2-for-2 on the power play.
