SUPERIOR, Wis. – UW-Superior student-athletes posted a 3.381 grade-point average for the spring 2023 semester, director of athletics Nick Bursik announced Monday.

Fifteen teams ended the semester with GPAs of 3.0 or higher, staying consistent with the results from the fall 2023 semester.

"This achievement is a credit to the continued focus and prioritization of the academic success of our student-athletes," Bursik said. "I appreciate everyone's efforts and collaboration to accomplish this goal, as this continues to be an area of pride for our department and university," he continued.

This honor is largely influenced by the 252 Yellowjackets who finished the spring with a 3.0 or better with 179 earning cum laude, magna cum laude, or summa cum laude honors. Ten student-athletes currently hold a 4.0 cumulative GPA with 45 earning perfect GPAs this spring.

The women's tennis team earned the highest cumulative GPA among women's teams at 3.720, while the men's cross country team earned a 3.626, the highest among men's teams.
