SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) released their 2023 men's and women's golf preseason previews in an announcement Friday. The conference expanded on all eight teams, discussing last year's results and highlighting returners and newcomers to each program.

The Yellowjacket men's team welcomes four newcomers to the roster in 2023. Spearheading the list of returners is junior Nate Burke (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld), who earned an honorable mention citation from the conference. Finishing ninth in the UMAC Championship last season, Burke earned the seventh-best individual scoring average throughout the circuit with an average of 80.

Another key returner for the men is junior Ian Bundy (Austin, Minn./Austin), who tied for 11th place in the UMAC Championship last season and was the team's top finisher at the NCAA Division III National Championships in Nicholasville, Ken.

The women's team welcomes six newcomers to the roster in 2023. The lone returner for the Yellowjackets is junior Kenzie Tuura (Iron River, Wis./Northwestern). Tuura was the team's third finisher in the UMAC Championship last season and compiled a scoring average of 107.15.

Both teams start their seasons on Sept. 2. The men's team will compete at the Augsburg Fall Invitational at Majestic Oaks Golf Club in Ham Lake, Minn., while the women's team will begin at the Falcon Invitational at Clifton Highlands Golf Course in Prescott, Wis.
