SUPERIOR, Wis. – Yellowjacket student-athletes posted a 3.372 grade-point average for the fall 2023 semester, director of athletics Nick Bursik announced Wednesday.
 
"This achievement is a credit to the continued prioritization and focus of the academic success of our student-athletes," Bursik said. "I appreciate everyone's efforts and collaboration to achieve this goal, as it is a continued area of pride for our department and university," he continued.
 
Largely influencing this honor are the 269 student-athletes who earned a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher (roughly 80% of student-athletes) with 193 earning cum laude, magna cum laude, or summa cum laude distinction. 21 Yellowjackets obtain a 4.0 cumulative grade-point average while 59 achieved a perfect 4.0 this fall.
 
Volleyball earned the highest fall grade-point average among women's teams at 3.773, while men's hockey captured a 3.769 among men's teams.
