ASHLAND, Wis.— The Yellowjackets men's basketball team headed to Northland College Saturday afternoon for more Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) action. The 'Jackets would secure another conference win after defeating Northland 74-59. After this afternoon's match up, the 'Jackets now sit 13-6 overall and 5-3 in the UMAC.
The remainder of the Yellowjacket regular season match-ups will be UMAC games.
- The Yellowjackets took the lead in the 10th minute of the first half when Reid Johnson (Chatfield, Minn./Chatfield) would land a 3-pointer. The 'Jackets would keep the lead for the remainder of the game.
- J'Vaun Walker (Rosharon, Texas/Manvel) led the Yellowjackets with a 20-point night. Walker went 11-of-14 from the free throw line.
- Josef Fahrenholtz (Chatfield, Minn./Chatfield) helped the Yellowjackets with 17 points. Fahrenholtz collected 10 rebounds, achieving his third double-double of the season. Fahrenholtz also went five for six on free throws.
- Andrew Kunelius (Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia) finished with 12 points, collecting six rebounds and was perfect on the line tonight as he went four for four on free throws.
- The 'Jackets would go 83.3% for free throws from the line tonight compared to the LumberJacks 62.5% on the line.
