Match Notes
- The first half of play saw UWS showcase its heavy-hitting offense, rifling shots at Knights goalkeeper Nicholas Russ. He saved the first three shots he faced, neutralizing the Yellowjacket strikers in the early moments of the match.
- This narrative would continue throughout the majority of the first 45 minutes, prompting Yellowjacket head coach Joe Mooney to turn to his bench.
- At the 42nd minute of play the Yellowjackets received a goal courtesy of a Knights' own goal, heading into the break with a goal under their belt.
- Five minutes was all it took for UWS to score again, as Zach Tiemeyer (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee Community) found the back of the net to extend the lead to two goals off a free kick. Three minutes later Tiemeyer executed a nifty heel kick to extend the 'Jacket lead at three goals to none.
- Felipe Oliveira (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Colegio Soma) joined the scoring at the 58th minute, taking a feed from Freddy Watson (Wendover, England/Berkshire College of Agriculture) to net his third of the campaign.
- After checking into the match at the 68th minute, Kyle Massingham (Nuneaton, England/Future Pro College) only needed another minute to fire one past Russ after receiving a pass from Philipp Jobst (Pulheim, Germany/Deutsche Schule Shanghai Pudong).
- The final blow came at the 76th minute from Jacob Wyles (Watlington, Oxfordshire/FAB Academy), who tallied the first collegiate goal of his career.
