ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. – The Yellowjacket men's basketball team handled its business Friday, picking up a victory against Minnesota Morris. Saturday the 'Jackets had a meeting with Crown and took charge from the early going, cruising to a 79-61 victory inside the Wild Athletic Center.

The Yellowjackets have now won six of their last seven games. After North Central lost to Bethany Lutheran, the Yellowjackets now hold sole possession of second place in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) standings.

Game Notes
- Josef Fahrenholtz (Chatfield, Minn./Chatfield) finished his evening with a team-best 17 points, two blocks and steals, along with six rebounds. He also sunk all four free throws attempted.
- Reid Johnson (Chatfield, Minn./Chatfield) had another strong game, scoring 14 points off the bench. He was six-for-eight from the field and added two three pointers.
- J'Vaun Walker (Rosharon, Texas/Manvel) also paced the Yellowjacket offense, scoring 15 while nailing seven-of-nine shots from inside the arc.
- Leading in the rebounds category, Joey Barker (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) grabbed seven boards in the contest. He also added six points.
- The 'Jackets saw 29 points scored from bench players, compared to Crown's 24. Additionally, UWS scored 44 points within the paint while the Polars only had 20.
- Both teams gave up 10 turnovers on the evening.
- Crown was limited to just 27.3 percent from the field (9-33) and 9 percent (1-11) from downtown in the first half.
- UWS finished the game with a 53.3 percent success rate from midrange and exactly 50 percent from three.

The Yellowjackets now head into the final weekend of regular season action, commencing with Martin Luther on Friday, Feb. 16. Opening tipoff inside the Luther Student Center is slated for 7:15 p.m.
