BLAINE, Minn.- The Yellowjacket men's golf team hit the links at the Victory Links Golf Course for the Bethel Triangular on Saturday afternoon. This concluded the regular season for the Yellowjackets, with two team entries today, the 'Jackets would take fifth and sixth places.

Leading the way for the Yellowjackets was Nate Burke (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld) with an individual score of 74. Burke shot consistently on both the front and back nines. Burke had identical 37s on both the front and back nine. Burke had two bogies on the front nine. On the back nine he would card two more bogies and birdie. Burke ended tied in 12th place with Pelayo Perez Crespo of Gustavus Adolphus.

Following behind Burke was Andrew Rude (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) who shot six over par for an individual score of 77. Rude started off hot on the front nine, shooting one over par and carding a birdie and two bogies. On the back nine Rude would hit 41 with five bogies. Rude and teammate Ian Bundy (Austin, Minn./Austin) finished in a tie for 15th place.

One stroke behind Rude was Conner Willard (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing), who came in with an individual score of 78. On the front nine, Willard collected two bogies, one double bogey and a birdie. On the back nine he would collect four bogies.

Next behind Willard was T.J. Sitek (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) with an individual score of 82. Sitek collected a total of eight bogies and one triple bogey over the course of the 18 holes. Sitek had a stronger front nine, shooting four over; on the back nine he would card seven over par.

Blu Anderson (Amery, Wis./Amery) came in two points behind Sitek. Anderson shot 13 over par for an individual score of 84. On the front nine Anderson carded a 43, four of those holes being bogies and two double bogies. On the back nine Anderson collected four bogies, one double bogey and one birdie for a score of 41.

Meet Notes

• Host Bethel University came in on top with nine under par and a team score of 275.
• For the Royals, Conor Schubring earned the number one individual spot with a score of 64. Schubring carded a total of eight bridies, with six coming from the front nine.
• For the Yellowjackets second entry team, Bundy came in on top with an individual score of 77. This placed him tied with teammate Rude who is on the first 'Jacket entry team.
• Bundy carded even on the front nine with a score of 35.
• Trevor Durfee (Superior, Wis./Superior High School) placed 29th with an individual score of 85. Durfee carded eight bogies, two double bogies and on birdie.
• Carding an individual score of 90 was Brayden Tyman (Cloquet, Minn./Cloquet Senior) who placed 30th. Tyman earned a birdie on hole three.
• In 31st and 32nd places were teammates Seth Pettingill (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior) and Matt Nault (Superior, Wis./Superior Senior). Pettingill had a score of 91 while Nault carded a score of 92.

After Saturday's meet this concludes the regular season for the men's golf team. The men will travel to Boulder City, Nev. where they will compete at the NCAA Division III Golf Championships. The championship is to take place from May 14 through May 17 at the Boulder Creek Golf Course.
