ST. PAUL, Minn. – The UW-Superior men's soccer team headed down to Northwestern on Tuesday night to face the Eagles for more Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play. After two convincing wins last week, the Yellowjackets would continue that streak with a 1-0-win Tuesday night.
After tonight's win the Yellowjackets are now 4-2-2 overall and 3-0-0 in the UMAC.
In the 20th minute, the Yellowjackets earned a penalty kick after
Jake Kidd (Superior, Wis./Superior) was brought down by UNW's goalkeeper.
Josh Bellamy (High Wycombe, England/FAB Football Academy) who took the penalty kick would find the bottom right corner, securing the Yellowjacket's lone goal of the match and giving them the 1-0 lead.
Yellowjacket goalkeeper,
Alex Paredes (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) got the start in net and finished with one save in the match. Paredes would be credited with the shutout and is now 3-2-2 in net.

- The Yellowjackets have accumulated a remarkable 19-match winning streak against UNW. The last time the Yellowjackets lost to the Eagles was on October 19th, 2004.
- Bellamy would lead the 'Jackets with six shots, four being on target.
- Being one of the more physical matches of the season, the Yellowjackets would card two yellows to Northwestern's three. The 'Jackets would also draw 12 fouls while UNW would draw 11.
