NEW ULM, Minn. - The Yellowjacket women's soccer team hit the road on Friday afternoon to take on Martin Luther in UMAC conference play. UWS came into the riding a nine-game winning streak against the Knights which dates back to 2021. A first half flurry led the Yellowjackets to a 6-0 victory over Martin Luther extending their winning streak to ten against the Knights.  

Match Notes:  

• The Yellowjackets struck first as they got a goal from Brynne Crystal (Wayzata, Minn./Wayzata) off a helper from Kamryn Hill (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld). 

• Emma Wright (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji) scored next for UWS as she fired a shot past the Knights keeper.  

• Kasja Kovala (Winona, Minn./Winona) fired the next goal for the Jackets off an assist from Wright in the 34th minute of play.  

• Lilly Klocker (Ramsey, Minn./Anoka) added a fourth goal to the Yellowjacket tally for her first collegiate goal. 

• Just three minutes later Klocker added her second goal of the match off a pass from Wright to make the score 5-0 entering halftime.  

• Niamh Larson (Brookfield, Ill./Riverside Brookfield) added to the Yellowjackets lead as she knocked in a penalty kick goal to make the score 6-0.  

• UWS outshot Martin Luther 33-1 with a 22-0 advantage for shots on goal. The Yellowjackets were led by Larson who had eight while Hill had four, Wright and Klocker also had three each.  

UWS is back in action tomorrow as they take on Bethany Lutheran. Kickoff is set for 12:30 at Scheels Field in Mankato, Minn.
