SUPERIOR, Wis. – The 2025 campaign is nearing the end for the Yellowjacket volleyball team, having only four more matches in the regular season entering Friday's contest. Superior faced off against North Central on the evening and came away with a 3-0 victory, winning their third-straight Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) match.
 
Match Notes
	- Taking an early 6-1 lead, the 'Jackets rolled through the first set. Sydney Smith (Milltown, Wis./Unity) and Maddie Hunter (Anoka, Minn./Anoka) collected kills to begin the contest, while Makenna Hohbein (Holdingford, Minn./Holdingford) and Sidney Bader (Milltown, Wis./Unity) followed to push the pace and win 25-12.
 
	- In the second Superior led 8-1 early on, and offensive production was seen from Marena Saeger (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) and Katlyn Jones (Bloomer, Wis./Bloomer), leading to a 25-11 victory.
 
	- The Rams didn't shy away in the third, taking an early lead and keeping the 'Jackets on their toes. A trio of attack errors benefitted the 'Jackets and kills from Saeger and Melissa Hoff (Holmen, Wis./Holmen) provided them with a brief lead.
 
	- A pair of blocks from Hohbein and Smith aided an eight-point rally, boosting the Yellowjackets to a sweep of the Rams with a third set score of 25-21.
 
	- Hohbein led offensively with 14 kills, while Savanna Hering (Superior, Wis./Superior) paced defensively with 11 digs.
 
	- Gabi Schwirtz (Plato, Minn./Glencoe-Silver Lake) garnered nine assists on the night, claiming her 1,000th assist in a Yellowjacket uniform.
 
 
The 'Jackets will reboot for their match tomorrow with Northwestern. Action begins at 1 p.m. inside the Mertz.
