SAINT PETER, Minn. - Coming off their win over Marian last week, the Yellowjacket men's hockey team hit the road again this time to play Gustavus Adolphus. The 'Jackets scored twice in the first period on their way to a 4-3 victory over the Gusties.

UWS scored two minutes into the first period as Kade Shea (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld) found the net off assists from Alexey Yarmulnik (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) and Jordan Gibbs (Redwood Falls, Minn./Jefferson).

With less than a minute remaining in the first period, the 'Jackets struck again as Daniel Rozsival (Chicago, Ill./North Shore Country Day) scored off assists from Matt Danziger (Potomac, Md./University of Nebraska High) and Tyler Ryder (Byron Center, Mich./Northstar Christian Academy).

Gustavus Adolphus scored their first goal of the game two minutes into the second period, but UWS answered back 20 seconds later thanks to Andrew Larson (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld), who got an assist from Ryder.

UWS secured the win behind a power-play goal by Carson Riddle (Ortonville, Mich./Brandon) as he lit the lamp off a pass from Ikki Kogawa (Chiba, Japan/Collingwood Collegiate Institute) and Yarmulnik. The Gusties added a third goal, but the 'Jackets were able to put them away in the end.

Gustavus outshot the Yellowjackets 32-18 in the contest. Leading the way for UWS were Justin Dauphinais (Val Caron, Ontario/École Secondaire Catholique Horizon), Kogawa, and Shea, all having three.
The Yellowjackets are back in action tomorrow as they take on St. Olaf. Opening faceoff is set for 7 p.m. at the St. Olaf Ice Arena in Northfield, Minn.
