SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The Yellowjackets women's hockey team took an afternoon trip down to TRIA Rink in St. Paul to play Hamline. Unfortunately, the Pipers were able to keep UWS under wraps as they beat the 'Jackets 9-1.

The Yellowjackets got their first goal of the season from Brook Monicken (Hudson, Wis./Hudson) with three seconds left in the third period. She was assisted on the goal by Brooke Bugos (Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial).

Jayda Moyer (Albert Lea, Minn./Albert Lea) took the loss in net playing the first two periods, making 26 saves before being replaced by Maddie Wostrel (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park) who made 12 saves.
The Yellowjackets return to the ice on November 21 for their first conference game against WIAC newcomer Beloit. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Woodman's Center in Janesville, Wis.
