Yellowjackets, Cobbers Draw Even Wednesday

MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Yellowjacket women's soccer team hit the road for an afternoon contest with Concordia (Minn.) After dropping a close game with UW-Stout, the 'Jackets looked to find the back of the net for the first time this season. Their opponent, the Cobbers also looked for their first score of the season after drawing twice and losing once to start their season.

Ultimately neither team could find the back of the net in 90 minutes with the game ending in a 0-0 draw.

Match Notes

  • Goalkeeper Quinn Clark (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) made seven saves on the afternoon, marking her first clean sheet of the season. Cobber's goalkeeper Julia Roark made four saves during the contest.

  • Brynne Crystal (Wayzata, Minn./Wayzata) led the way for the 'Jackets in shots with three with one on goal, while Kamryn Hill (Duluth, Minn./Denfeld) and Niamh Larson (Brookfield, Ill./Riverside Brookfield) added two.

  • Emma Wright (Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji) had the best look at a goal for Superior as her shot rifled off the crossbar in the 80th minute of play.

The Yellowjackets are next in action on Saturday when they head to River Falls to take on UW-River Falls. Kick-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Ramer Soccer Stadium.
