SUPERIOR, Wis. – On the heels of picking up a huge victory over No. 22 St. Olaf last week, the Yellowjacket men's soccer team opened Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) action Wednesday, playing host to the Rams of North Central. Superior fared well in their conference-opener, claiming a 4-0 win on their home turf.

- In the 26th minute of play, Freddy Watson (Wendover, England/Berkshire College of Agriculture) sent a pass to Seth Davidson (Sartell, Minn./Sartell), who logged his third goal of the campaign after scoring twice against the Oles.
- The 'Jackets would garner another goal before the break, as Kyle Massingham (Nuneaton, England/Future Pro College) sent a shot to the back of the net to extend the Yellowjacket lead to 2-0.
- UWS logged a pair of goals within two minutes, as Massingham found the scoresheet for the second time. Shortly after, Harvey McLoughlin (London, England/Highgate Woods) would send a flick over the Rams' keeper who was off his line for Superior's fourth goal of the day.
- The Yellowjackets led in shots 34-2, featuring an 11-2 shots on goal lead.
- Patrick Sessions (Brighton, England/Brighton, Hove & Sussex Sixth Form College) saw 63 minutes in net before giving way to Henry Ruhland (River Falls, Wis./River Falls) who garnered his first collegiate save. Both keepers finished with one save.
The Yellowjackets hit the road Saturday to face Crown College in UMAC play. The opening kickoff is set for 4:15 p.m. at Old National Bank Stadium.
