SUPERIOR, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Superior and Yellowjacket Athletics, following a national search, have announced
Molly Stock as its new head volleyball coach in a release Tuesday morning.
Â
"I am incredibly excited and honored to join UW-Superior and lead the women's volleyball program," Stock said. "I am passionate about leading a strong, competitive, and successful group of women who take pride in representing UW-Superior both on and off the court. I look forward to building meaningful relationships with our student-athletes, campus, alumni and fans while representing the Yellowjackets with pride," she continued.
Â
Stock comes to UW-Superior following three seasons at UW-Stevens Point, serving as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's volleyball programs. Throughout her time with the Pointers, she guided the women's program to the NCAA Tournament in all three seasons while continuously elevating the men's program since its inception in the 2023-24 academic year.
Â
Prior to UWSP, Stock spent a pair of seasons as a graduate assistant for the women's volleyball program at NCAA Division III Elmhurst while also aiding NCAA Division III Benedictine's men's volleyball program. She guided the Eagles to the NCAA Tournament twice, including an appearance in the national championship match with top-seeded Carthage during the 2021 season.
Â
Stock was a four-year starter at Benedictine. She was an all-conference honoree in her final two seasons, along with being named a team captain. Following her senior year, Stock was a member of the Division III Women's Volleyball Select Team that represented the United States in Brazil. In 2024, she would return to Brazil as a coach, and their team went undefeated against four Brazilian squads.
Â
A native of Naperville, Ill., Stock received her Bachelor of Science degree in sports and exercise science from Benedictine in 2021. She would further her education with a Master's Degree in business administration at Elmhurst in 2023.
Â
"We are thrilled to welcome Coach Stock to our campus community to lead our volleyball program," Nick Bursik, UW-Superior Director of Athletics said. "Her focus on the student-athlete experience, commitment to player development and ability to cultivate a championship culture will support the program's continued success."
Â
Stock will begin her duties with the volleyball program in early February.
