SUPERIOR, Wis. - Saturday marked the end of the season for the Yellowjacket men's basketball team when they hosted Minnesota Morris. In the game Superior held a lead going into the second half but ultimately fell 73-67. 

Game Notes:  

• The Yellowjackets held an early lead, getting scores from Jackson Allfrey (West Jordan, Utah/Copper Hills), Caiden Lecce (Kenosha, Wis./St. Joseph Catholic) and Evan Bennett (Superior, Wis./Superior).  

• Midway through the first half the 'Jackets led by ten as Rocco Paulson (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) and Jett Rogowski (Wittenberg, Wis./Wittenberg-Birnamwood) logged buckets, but Morris was able to tie the game at 32. Nick Nordaune (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) gave Superior a five-point lead at halftime, making a three and a layup in the final minutes of the first half.  

• In the second half Morris was able to gain the lead and pull away, leading by 12 at one point. 

• Down the stretch buckets from Hayden Quimby (Menasha, Wis./Xavier), Micah Young (Minneapolis, Minn./Thomas Edison) and Landen Thomer (Mosinee, Wis./Mosinee) got the 'Jackets back in it, but Morris ultimately came away victorious. 

• The Yellowjackets were led in scoring by Bennett and Quimby, who each scored nine. Matt Thompson led the way for the Cougars offensively scoring 21 points. 

The Yellowjackets close their season with a 6-19 record and 2-10 in the UMAC.
