PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria Rivermen of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) have signed senior forward
Carson Riddle (Ortonville, Mich./Brandon) of the Yellowjacket men's hockey team to a professional contract.
Riddle becomes the fourth Yellowjacket to advance to the professional ranks at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, joining
Tyler Ryder (Byron Center, Mich./Northstar Christian Academy),
Chris Ishmael (Oakville, Ontario/Abbey Park Secondary School) and
Dusty Bergstrom (Pine City, Minn./Pine City), who compete throughout the SPHL.
Riddle's first professional game was Thursday, Feb. 27 against the Huntsville Havoc. He was credited with his first professional assist at 4:25 in the first period.
Throughout his career in Superior, he played in 60 games for the Yellowjackets and amassed 13 goals and 18 assists for 31 points. As a senior, he scored a collegiate-best eight goals, which tied for the team lead in 2025-26.
Peoria returns to the ice Thursday as they square off with Pensacola. The opening faceoff is set for 7:15 p.m. inside Carver Arena.
