ST. PAUL, Minn. - After taking the doubleheader against North Central yesterday the Yellowjacket Softball team was back in action for game three of their series with North Central. The Yellowjackets would again take care of North Central winning 9-0 and completing the series sweep of the Rams.  

Game Notes: 

• Peyton Bennett (Harrisburg, S.D./Harrisburg) led off the game for Superior with a solo home run. Two batters later Larissa Snyder (Blaine, Minn./Spring Lake Park) went yard to give the 'Jackets the early 2-0 lead.  

• The 'Jackets tacked on another run an inning later as Carly Stuckmayer (Delano, Minn./Delano) singled in Delaney Johnson (Ellsworth, Wis./Ellsworth).  

• In the fifth, the Yellowjackets were able to put up a crooked number starting with an RBI single from Snyder. Snyder would later come in to score on a wild pitch.  

• Samantha Swartz (Antigo, Wis./Antigo) knocked in MyKenzie Leccia (Somerset, Wis./Somerset) later in the inning before scoring on an RBI groundout from Kiah Frydenlund (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie East). 

• Johnson would come up later in the inning and launch a solo homer and then a walk scored Kylie Hochsprung (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) to give the 'Jackets the 9-0 lead.  

• Abby Mitchell (Cloquet, Minn./Carlton) earned the victory pitching five innings, giving up just two hits and striking out six batters.  

The Yellowjackets (16-11, 6-3 UMAC) are next in action on Wednesday as they play Northwestern. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the NBC Sports Complex in Superior.
