HASTINGS, Minn. – Saturday began day one of the D3 Classic for the Yellowjacket women's golf team, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus at Emerald Greens Golf Course. The 'Jackets shot a collective 338 on the day, placing 15th on the team leaderboard.
Meet Notes
- Makayla Ammerman (Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson) led the way, shooting a nine-over 81 on the day with a birdie on the par-five 16th hole. On the individual leaderboard, she is tied for 36th place.
- Olivia Weyenberg (Stacy, Minn./North Branch) completed her opening round with a 44/39 split for an 83, while Allie Maschke (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) fired an 84 with a birdie on the par-four 10th.
- Abby Schintz (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) logged a birdie on the par-five fifth hole, taking home a 44/46 split for a 90.
- Sophia Otto's (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) birdie came on the par-five 13th hole, collecting a 93 on her scorecard.
- Lexea Fauth (North Battleford, Saskatchewan/John Paul II Collegiate) competed as an individual, completing day one with a 98.
The Yellowjackets are back for the final day of the D3 Classic Sunday, with a shotgun start of 7:30 a.m.
