EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The Yellowjacket men's golf team returned to the course Sunday for day one of the Wrigglesworth Invite at Eau Claire Golf Club, hosted by UW-Eau Claire. After the opening round of the two-day event, the 'Jackets shot a collective 321, tying for 19th place.
Meet Notes
- Matthew Unger (New Richmond, Wis./New Richmond) led the group with a 40 on the front nine before shooting a 38 on the back nine, totaling a seven-over 78 with birdies.
- Andrew Slatten (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) and JD Glampe (Green Bay, Wis./Luxemburg Casco) each shot an eight-over 79, shooting a 39/40 and 40/39 split, respectively.
- Caleb Harper (Vadnais Heights, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) and Sam Brennan (Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) would follow, each shooting an 85 on the day.
- For the second Yellowjacket entry, Colton Stupar (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) led the group with a seven-over 78, birdieing three holes on the day.
- The duo of Cody Olinger (White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake) and Ryan Kissner (Hugo, Minn./White Bear Lake) each shot an 84 on the day. Kissner carded three birdies in a span of four holes on the back nine.
- Avery Collins (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) fired a 45 on the front nine before shooting a 43 on the back nine, carding a collective 88.
- Kobe Grant (Vernon, British Columbia/South Kamloops Secondary) rounded out the second Yellowjacket team, shooting a 90.
