EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Monday the Yellowjacket men's golf team wrapped up the second and final day of the Wrigglesworth Invite, hosted at Wild Ridge Golf Club in Eau Claire. Superior finished the event in 20th place with a collective score of 329.
Meet Notes
- Andrew Slatten (Hibbing, Minn./Hibbing) led the group with a one-over 73, firing birdies on the par-five seventh and the par-four ninth holes.
- Matthew Unger (New Richmond, Wis./New Richmond) and JD Glampe (Green Bay, Wis./Luxemburg Casco) fired rounds of 84 on the day. Unger fired two birdies on the front nine and fired seven pars during the nine-hole stretch, while Glampe shot a three on the par-four 15th hole.
- Sam Brennan (Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) logged an 88 on the day, including a birdie on the front and back nines.
- Caleb Harper (Vadnais Heights, Minn./St. Croix Lutheran) rounded out the group with a 95 on the day.
- In the second entrant for UW-Superior, Colton Stupar (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) shot 38's for a collective four-over 76.
- Avery Collins (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) logged a 43 on the front nine before shooting a 39 on the back for a 10-over 82.
- Ryan Kissner (Hugo, Minn./White Bear Lake) followed with a 40/43 split for an 83.
- Cody Olinger (White Bear Lake, Minn./White Bear Lake) capped his day with a 90, while Kobe Grant (Vernon, British Columbia/South Kamloops Secondary) shot a 98.
The Yellowjackets will play their home course Friday as they take on the Twin Ports Collegiate, hosted by Nemadji Golf Club in Superior.
