MINNEAPOLIS – The Yellowjacket men's soccer team began Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) action Wednesday afternoon, taking on North Central. The 'Jackets would come away with a 3-1 victory, commencing conference play on the right foot.

- Seth Davidson (Sartell, Minn./Sartell) would strike twice in the match, first in the 11th minute after a feed from Bryce Boldt (Waupaca, Wis./Waupaca). He would later fire a shot after a pass from Alek Pyrah (London, England/Chiswick School) at the 50th minute of play.
- Lundin Flohaug (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) collected his first Yellowjacket goal at the 37th minute of play, receiving a helper courtesy of Jacob Wyles (Watlington, Oxfordshire/FAB Academy).
- The Rams would respond with a successful penalty kick in the 71st minute, coming off the foot of David Ajayi.
- The 'Jackets outshot the Rams 21-8, including a 14-5 edge in shots on goal.
- Henry Ruhland (River Falls, Wis./River Falls) started in net, making four saves in a full 90 minute session.
Superior is back in action Saturday, as they take on Crown. The opening kickoff is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. at Old National Bank Stadium.
