SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Yellowjacket women's soccer team had a quick turnaround after Wednesday's Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) opener with North Central, as they played host to the Falcons of UW-River Falls on Thursday.
Superior and UWRF had a steady first half, but in the second, UW-River Falls broke the scoring at the 55th minute of play to leave the Twin Ports with a 1-0 win.

- In the first half, the Yellowjackets led in total shots 6-4 before tying 2-2 in shots on goal.
- Abby Drontle found the back of the net on the left foot for the Falcons, receiving helpers from Leah Hultman and Emery Bigler.
- The Falcons took a total of 13 shots on the day while Superior shot the same.
- Reese Brekke (Stoughton, Wis./Hardin Valley) led with four total shots, behind Abrianna Madill (Esko, Minn./Esko) who had three.

The 'Jackets are back in action Saturday where they take on Crown. The opening kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Old National Bank Stadium.
