SUPERIOR, Wis. – The Yellowjacket women's golf team played their home course on Friday, seeing action in the first day of the Twin Ports Collegiate at Nemadji Golf Course. The 'Jackets had a strong day, setting a new program record for lowest single round with a collective 318, beating their previous record of 328.
 
Meet Notes

• Abby Schintz (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East), who broke her own record with the lowest single round individually, tied her round of 76 with a 40/36 split.
• Makayla Ammerman (Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson) followed, firing an eight-over 79.
• Allie Maschke (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) fired an 81 on the day, while Olivia Weyenberg (Stacy, Minn./North Branch) garnered an 82.
• Sophia Otto (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) shot a 102 in her opening round, while Lexea Fauth (North Battleford, Saskatchewan/John Paul II Collegiate) and Tara Stratton (Superior, Wis./Superior) each shot a 91 in individual competition.

 
The 'Jackets are back in action Saturday for the second and final day of the Twin Ports Collegiate.
