KANSASVILLE, Wis. – Friday afternoon marked round one of the Midwest Region Classic, hosted by Benedictine at Brighton Dale Links. The Yellowjacket women's golf team began their day shooting a collective 348, sitting in a tie of 17th place on the team leaderboard.
Meet Notes
- Olivia Weyenberg (Stacy, Minn./North Branch) led with a 10-over 82 on the day. She birdied the par-four 16th hole.
- Makayla Ammerman (Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson) followed with a 43/41 split for a collective 84.
- Shooting an 89 in the opening round was Sophia Otto (Mequon, Wis./Homestead), while Allie Maschke (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) shot a 45 on the front nine before carding a 48 on the back for a collective 93.
- Tara Stratton (Superior, Wis./Superior) finished the day with a 96, while Lexea Fauth (North Battleford, Saskatchewan/John Paul II Collegiate), competing individually, shot an 87.
