KANSASVILLE, Wis. – Saturday saw the Yellowjacket women's golf team conclude the Midwest Region Classic hosted by Benedictine University at The Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville. The Yellowjackets shot a combined score of 682 with a round 2 score of 334. The Yellowjackets finished in a tie for 13th in a competitive field.
 

Meet Notes 

• Leading the way for Superior was Olivia Weyenberg (Stacy, Minn./North Branch) on day 2 she fired a 79 with a 42/37 split. She also had 3 birdies on the day. 

• Makayla Ammerman (Hinckley, Minn./Hinckley-Finlayson) followed closely behind with an 82 for her second round, while also having 2 birdies on the back nine. 

• Sophia Otto (Mequon, Wis./Homestead) fired off an 86, shooting a 44/42 split with a birdie on the back nine.  

• Not too far behind Otto was Allie Maschke (Merrill, Wis./Merrill), who shot an 87 in the final round with a 45/42 split. 

• Rounding off the final round was Tara Stratton (Superior, Wis./Superior) and Lexea Fauth (North Battleford, Saskatchewan/John Paul II Collegiate) (competing individually), both shooting a 99 with splits of 46/53 and 49/50, respectively. 

The Yellowjackets are back in action next week at the Georgianni Invitational hosted by UW-Eau Claire at Lake Wissota Golf Course in Chippewa Falls, Wis.
