Before UWS: Played high school at the now closed St. Bernard's...Was all-conference honorable mention...Played on the St. Bernard's team that finished second in the Class A Minnesota State Basketball Tournament in 2007...In 2008 was part of St. Bernard's team that placed third in the Class AA Minnesota State Basketball Tournament...In his senior season of 2009 he helped St. Bernard's finish fourth in the Class AA Minnesota State Basketball Tournament.
