2020-21: Played three rounds over three events as a sophomore ... Posted an 84.67 scoring average ... Had a season-low round of 80 at the UMAC Preview on April 20, tying for ninth at 8-over par ... Also finished 10th at the Turtleback Invite with a 15-over 86 on April 11 ... Named UMAC Academic All-Conference.

2019-20: Played in four events and eight rounds as a freshman ... Had an 86.5 scoring average ... Posted his best finish of the year in the season-opening Twin Ports Collegiate, tying for 13th (16-over 158) ... Second-round score of 73 at the Twin Ports Collegiate is his career-lowest. 

Before UWS: Son of Tara and Craig Wainio ... Born Feb. 13, 2001 ... Graduate of Mountain-Iron Buhl High School in 2019 ... Named all-Arrowhead Conference as a junior and senior in 2018-19 ... Won the Art Lampaa Sportsmanship Award and was third in the conference meet in 2019 ... Tied for 16th at the AA state tournament with a two-round score of 156 ... Rangers twice won the conference in 2018 and 2019 ... Team won the Virginia Invite in 2018 and was third at sectional in 2019 ... Honor-roll student from seventh grade through graduation ...
