Owen Theune commences his first season as an assistant coach for Eveline Parsons in 2025-26. He supports the program in all of its facets.
Theune arrives to Superior after spending a pair of seasons at his alma mater, NCAA Division III Ripon. During the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons, he was tasked with player development and opponent scouting, along with other necessity duties that aided the overall function of the women's basketball program.
A native of Waupun, Wis., Theune was a four-year member of the men's basketball team at Ripon. Theune is tied for second place with most games played in school history (104). He aided the Red Hawks to a Midwest Conference (MWC) Tournament Championship in 2019-20, marking the second time in four years Ripon advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
Theune graduated from Ripon with a Bachelor of Science degree in sports management in 2023. He furthered his education with a Master's Degree in sports management in 2025, also at Ripon.
