The 2015-16 season will mark the second year that Coach Trent Davis has been an assistant for the women's basketball team.
Davis is from Apple Valley, Minn. and attended St. Bernard's High School, where he was a four year starter in both basketball and football.
Davis continued his basketball playing career at UW-Superior, where he was a member of the team from 2009-2013. Davis became a starter on the team half way through his sophomore year and maintained that role throughout the remainder of his career.
Davis graduated from UW-Superior with an Exercise Science Degree.
Outside of UW-Superior, Davis has been the varsity assistant and strength and conditioning coach for the Duluth East boy's basketball program. Davis also is the head coach for the Twin Ports Pride 16U AAU program.
In the time that Davis has been with the UW-Superior women's basketball program they have been the 2014-15 WIAC Regular Season Conference Champion and the 2014-15 WIAC Conference Tournament Runner-Up.
Davis was also named the Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2014-15 season.
Davis is the son of Laura and Kerry Sutherland.
